He shrugs. "You're allowed to do whatever makes you happy, Gaura. I'm just grateful that includes helping me." Really, that was the only part of this that mattered. Yes, he was building a friendship and that sort of included caring about Gaura and Henry (scratch the sort of) but Tay's needs were getting met.
Sitting on the toilet with the lid down, he rubs the towel gently against his wet skin. Out of habit, there might've been a sexy edge to it but it's not on purpose here. He doesn't have Time watching him, after all.
"You know it's really strange.. with Time not here. I keep catching myself wondering where he is and if he's doing something he isn't supposed to. However, he's not here. He can't come back to me like he usually does. I'm the one here and.." He sighs, shaking his head. "I'm the one who hasn't been behaving well without him."
Glancing over he saw the rubbing. "Ah. Dab instead. It'll keep the pain to minimum and not aggravate things."
Then he returned to cleaning the tub to make sure it was properly cleaned out and drained before he grabbed another towel to dry his hands. Coming over with the stool, he focused on that knee first. Right now it looked irritated and bruised but not infected which was good. "This might sting a little," he warned.
Carefully, he started to apply some medicine to the knee, going lightly to just dab it on. When he was done with that, he carefully wrapped it up so that there would be support but it could still be bent if needed. "I'll get some ice for this when you're back in bed," he promised.
Tay's hands freeze before he mentally catches up with what his friend is talking about. This whole ordeal is getting irritating. He wants to say something snide about Gaura not participating in his conversation about Time but he holds it in. In truth, his energy is draining out of him thanks to the soothing herbs.
(To be fair, Tay also talks about Time a lot so it could be getting old to his housemates!)
He nods with a sigh at the warning. Just like before, he makes very little reaction to the pain. He simply nods again to the remark about ice.
When he's given the okay, he focuses all that's left of his energy on getting back to his bed. Gaura will be lucky if he gets back before Tay's passed out.
He smiled at the man when he found him there and went about taking care of everything including cleaning up and making sure that Tay was fully tucked in. On the bedside table he left water and some herbal pain killers for when the man woke up. While he wouldn't ask questions, he would make sure that Tay was well cared for and healed well.
